Mohali and Chandigarh Security satisfies ECB advisor
The security adviser of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has expressed his satisfaction with the kind of security arrangements being provided by Mohali and Chandigarh police. After holding detailed meeting with police officials, Reg Dickason, chief security adviser of ECB, gave his stamp of approval.
Police sources said as demanded by Reg Dickason, police officials provided him a copy of security measures being taken by cops for the safety and security of players coming to play second Test match, scheduled from December 19 to 23 at Mohali.
Sources said Dickason, along with the officials, checked the route that the players would take to Mohali from their hotel in Chandigarh. He was informed about the kind of security players would be provided and how the route would be protected by cops.
After checking the route between Chandigarh and PCA stadium, Dickason also inspected the arrangements in and around the cricket stadium. After completing his inspection, he expressed his satisfaction over security arrangements,? said a senior cop from Mohali.
The official said Dickason was also asked about additional security requirement, but he expressed his satisfaction.
